Things dont always go as planned...

So I know I said I was going to do a 30 days of crafts. As a mom; especially one with a toddler, you learn to accept that things aren't always going to go as planned. We have had so much going on in the last couple weeks, but I did find some time to do some crafts. We were able to do a easy craft that cost me about $5 dollars because I already have some of the items at home, which most moms will.

I also plan to write more and more experiences of the things that go on in our household. I'll also be doing some fun activities and sharing some ideas on and other things.

A little Organization....

Like every other mom on this planet who has pinterest, I give myself an allotted time frame of maybe 15 mins before bed, which of course turns into 30 mins to an hour! But there are so many good ideas on there! Especially for organizing your life with kids.

I found this great idea on how to create Busy Boxes for your little one so that they can have independent play time! It gives you some time to yourself so that you can do things around the house, take care of your other little one...or heck even poop in peace!
Take the busy bags and make a busy box for more extended independent playtime (like nursing another little one)Here is the blog for the great mama who posted about this great idea! http://playinghouseinmaryland.blogspot.com/2011/03/momma-mademy-busy-box.html

So want to step it up because your just so dang crafty, or even have the time to! Why not make busy boxes for the whole week!
Quiet time boxes- never thought of having one for each day of the week! SMART. Perfect for when cooking dinner. Here is the blog for the awesome mama who decided to stretch the boxes as long as she could! http://tweetiepiebaby.blogspot.com/2009/05/quiet-time-boxes.html

I love this idea and plan to do it myself. I'm sure you can get the bins from the dollar store along with lots of the activities! I hope you enjoy this fun idea! If you come up with some ideas on what to put in then please let me know! Comment below!

Creative Expression of a Child

HELLO!!!!

SO after my little monster wakes up we will be starting a 30 day creative expression month! I'm so excited because I love to spend time with her and watch as she tries to process things she sees. So for 30 DAYS we are going to be doing things like making Slime, play dough, puffy paint, moon sand, and more!

I have done some of these things with her before but that should hold us back from doing them twice of 3 times or 4! Right?

Here is when we made slime....
Now the Borax I couldn't find anywhere! But I finally found it in a small Mexican store in the laundry isle.

Here is us making Moon Sand.....
This was beyond easy to make and if you use coco butter oil it smells amazing!

Here we made our own Silly Putty....
This took a lot of model at the start so don't get discouraged if it takes some time.

I really enjoy doing these fun things with my daughter and i cant wait to do a whole 30 DAYS of it!

So from today I will post once a day a fun activity you can do with your kids. I will post a list of materials, prices, and where you can find these products. Then I will do a step by step on how its done.

I hope you join in and have fun with your child's creative mind!

Family Vaycay to Roswell.

So for my birthday we decided to take a family vacation through 3 different major towns. We headed to Roswell first and it  was a nice place but there wasn't a lot going on. I expected more from the UFO museum, it was more information based in regards to just having photos of letters up. Some of the models are slightly outdated. The photos they did have were inteeesting and the main floor model did a "show" which  consisted of smoke and light with some close encounters of a third kind music.
There is alot of ahopping to do though, lots of alien shops thats for sure! Aleksus didnt like the aliens too much.
We also went to the Museum of Art, unfortunatly the Planetarium was closed but there was some interesting exhibits on the first rocket and space exploration. Which I am a total nerd for.
Over all Roswell is a nice alien invaded town that has some great mom and pops stores. Here are some pictures of our trio there.

Mama swap.

So ive meet a really nice work at home mom who makes cloth diapers. She's really good at what she does and I own 2 diapers from her so far and I love them both. She's always been there to talk to you if you need to she's always been able to answer any of my questions and she's just a really thoughtful mom. So we're going to do a swap and she's going to give me something that she's made and I'm going to give her something that I've made and I wanted to share with you that I'm not the greatest so we're in the world and I am still learning all kinds of things but this is something that I've made for her and I hope you like it. It's an upside khaled t shirt has been sewn into a cloth diaper. It has a son in soccer that consist of a bamboo and micro fiber and it also has a snapping Socred that is cotton velour and bamboo and cotton. I love when I make something and it comes out really good looking because it's such an eye catcher and its going to be a one-of-a-kind item for her so I hope she really enjoys it.

A question in class...

So im taking a class on Christian Worl views and of course I;m the only one in the class who doesnt beleive in a supernatual being in the sky. One of our disscussion questions was this....

What one believes about God is perhaps the most important and foundational belief of a worldview. After completing the readings, address how a belief in God would impact a Christian worldview. What does a Christian worldview believe about God and why is that important for one's daily life?

My Response: Im sure it has become known in this class that I have a more Naturalism point of view when it comes to what we are and how we got here. In the sense of why I believe a God is important to the Christian worldview is because it gives them a reason to live. I agree with Carl Sagan when he says "the cosomos is all that is or ever was or ever will be." I am a big believer in the idea that we are all made of star dust and when we die we return to our natural state. If the Christian's did not have a God to follow, rules and morals set in words, they would be lost. They would doubt their exsistance and purpose, this would cause them to think outside of what is written in the Bible and to question its truth. (which I think Naturalist do) The Christian worldview believes that God is the creator of the universe, of everything and anything. You are to believe in the Bible and follow the morals and life guide set by it, you are not to question it for you could be seen as having lack in faith. It all ties into a big picture really.

In my opinion, the big picture is a never seen supernatural being created the universe, created man and everything we know. Then as the people were made they chose to use their freedom of choice to eat from a tree that gave them insight to more emotions than what they had in the beginning. Through out time God "spoke" to a select few and expressed his plans for giving the people he created a chance for forgivness. Then years go by and he sacrafices his only son to the world to save his own creation from sin. Then after his son; Jesus, is condemmed and killed he rises from the dead and helps to forgive humans for their sins. Then life goes on and neither Jesus or God is seen again, but only worshiped in homes built to praise them and to beg for forgiveness.

On a side note, I was watchin a show (Dr.Who), and it gave a great example in how I view the Christian Worldview. The man fell to the center of the earth, and there was the "Devil", he read the story of how the Devil was sent to the center of the earth and realized what he really was. The devil, and God, are ideas made by man, they only live in the idea and are feared by the idea of them.

The reason why God is so important in the Christian world view is becasue without him there would be an individual chaos. Christians are claimed to be "Christ-Like" and follow their lives by the morals and rules set forth by the Bible. They follow a path of hope for eternal life with God when their physical life is over on earth.

I am a Naturalist to a point, I do not belive in a supernatural being in the sky who created everything, I beleive the Bible is just a story written to control the masses from Chaos and questioning. Weither you believe in the Christian worldview or not, is an idividual choice, you can follow the masses or question everything.
